Spring 2010 - Bells and Woodwinds

Strikepoint of Texas' two five-octave handbell teams will join together to present their nineteenth annual Spring concerts. Under the direction of Melanie Bankston, the 26 ringers will be joined by their special guest artist - Woodwind Specialist Dr. Stephen Goacher, Associate Professor of Woodwinds at Howard Payne University. Concert Repertoire will include handbell arrangements with accompaniment by flute, oboe, clarinet, and saxophone all performed by Dr. Goacher. The concert repertoire will also include organ, vocal, and percussion accompaniment. This latest concert by Strikepoint will showcase English handbells as a chamber music instrument through the versatility of it's arrangements and accompanying abilities.
